About US

Agape Life Prevention Center is a Christian nonprofit serving Georgia’s underserved youth and families through creative, research-backed mental health prevention. We blend dance, movement, and SEL to build confidence, resilience, and connection.

Our Mission
To restore confidence and emotional well-being in all children through unconditional love, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and the healing power of dance. Inspired by the enduring truths of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, we nurture hope, resilience, and self-worth in every child we serve.

Our Vision
A world where every child feels safe, valued, and loved, where families are supported, and healing is possible through compassion, protection, and purpose.

Our Mental Health Approach

We address the growing youth mental health crisis—particularly in underserved urban communities—by combining evidence-based SEL practices with trauma-informed creative arts programming.

Every Agape program is grounded in research showing that safe, structured, enrichment spaces:
  • Improve emotional regulation and academic performance

  • Reduce risk behaviors during after-school hours

  • Build protective factors against future mental health struggles

Our staff are trained to recognize signs of stress, anxiety, and trauma, and to create predictable, supportive environments that help children:

  • Regulate emotions and reduce stress

  • Strengthen peer and family relationships

  • Develop self-awareness, self-confidence, and resilience

Our Programs

In Georgia, over 600,000 children who need afterschool programs can’t access them, leaving many without safe spaces during critical hours. At Agape Life Prevention Center, we step into that gap with faith-rooted, trauma-informed programs that build emotional resilience, foster belonging, and inspire joy.
Through dance and creative movement, we provide more than afterschool care—we offer mental health prevention, healing, and hope.

Feelings in Motion

Did you know that combining movement with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) helps children process emotions more effectively? Studies show that physical activity paired with SEL builds emotional intelligence, reduces stress, and increases classroom engagement.

Dance for Wellness

Did you know that learning and recalling dance steps strengthens memory and cognitive functioning? Dancing makes your brain stronger—helping children focus for longer periods. And when children are more focused, they’re better able to learn, which often leads to improved grades in school.

Family engagement builds resilience, improves communication, and supports long-term mental health. At Agape, we believe it takes a village. Our Family Engagement Nights unite caregivers with PM+ tools—problem-solving, stress management, and positive reinforcement—to strengthen children’s growth at home and school
